Parts of Disease recently screened and debuted at the 2014 Pan African Film Festival. The producers and creators of the film would like to thank everyone for their love and support for the film. Below is one of the first reviews of the film: Parts of Disease, helmed by Solomon Tubbs-Foster in his feature length directorial debut, premiered at the 2014 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA to a packed theater on Saturday. The film tackled ambitious social topics such as terrorism, racism, and bigotry, and was pulled together by solid performances from its main cast. Overall the tone was dramatic and thoughtful, making audiences of all races and religions think about their own viewpoints toward others, which in the end, strengthened the film and conveyed its message of intolerance quite well....

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in a discussion on the challenges of Black males and what is required for us to making positive social change.

"Hosted and moderated by founder Torrence Brannon-Reese, a panel at a symposium on Black manhood, held Sunday at the KRST Unity Center of AfRaKan Spiritual Science challenged four African American males from various walks of life to share their personal stories and philosophical views regarding “The challenges of the Black male today.” Invited panelists—Michael Datcher, David Horne, Ph.D., Solomon Tubbs Foster, and Pianky (Grasshoppa), reflected on pivotal instances that affected their personal development."

After a 6 month hiatus and an agreement for a director's cut. Parts of Disease will be officially wrapped (including re-shoots) on September 14th. From there, the project will go back into post-production. Thank you to all individuals involved.

Parts of Disease - Reshoots

Hey guys! Things are looking well. Right now we are in the process of preparing for the last set of re-shoots and additional scenes for Parts of Disease. I would like to thank Executive Producers Simon Moore and Charles Reid for getting a hold of the additional funds to allow our team modify the plot line. I have been working on getting the script drafted up to give everyone enough time to get prepared. Stay tuned for updates, screen caps, etc.

Project: PATROL Release -- (For Real This Time)

I have decided that it's time for a screening of the Project: PATROL TV pilot that we worked on a couple of years ago. I am still debating about whether to go the film festival route or to do more of a private screening.

However, it will probably be more advantageous to do see how the market responds at the festival and potentially re-invest the money into a re-shoot. So... That's probably what I will do.

Project: PATROL should be ready to go in a month or so. We just need to figure out a way to do dedicate the time to it and still juggle other projects.

We have entered the late stages of our latest feature entitled "PARTS OF DISEASE" -- We've been working diligently to try to get everything in place, the script solid, and all other creative things ready to go. The Last Days, The Return

Hey guys!

It's been a while since I've worked on any projects-- now I am finally getting back into the swing of things. The Last Days should be wrapped sometime within the next couple of weeks. I have to say that this has been the longest short I have worked on. With a combination of scheduling issues and on-set issues we managed to have a 5 day project drag on for nearly a year. I looked back at the schedule and it appears that we managed to shot once a month for 6 months-- then have long down times due to unavailability of cast and crew-- then re-castings. In the end, I think everything is going to be worth it.

New Year Starting Off Good

Hey all,

So far the New Year is starting off pretty well.. We are currently waiting on the 3rd revision of Mitch and Stu's Quest before we can move into the pre-production stages of the project.

We are also in the early stages of development for Budget Bounty -- but the script is still too fresh for us to have any final ideas on cast.

Also, we are looking at Jason Mewes to play the part of Jeff in The Intertwined. I am excited to see him offer his dramatic talent and vision to the project.

The New Year looks like it is going to be busy, so expect to hear updates soon!

"Mitch and Stu's Quest" a go!

Hey all,

After a couple of months of the producers going back and forth, I have finally come on as the Executive Producer/Director of "Mitch and Stu's Quest" starring Jason Mewes and Nic-Nac. Although the project is currently undergoing heavy re-development, we are estimating that the new draft of the script and storyline should be ready by sometime mid-January. As usually, I want to thank Executive Producer/Writer: Chad O, Executive Producer: Billy Salvadore, and Executive Producer: Jason Mewes for their continuing efforts toward getting this project moving in the right direction despite the bad economy. In talks, in talks, in talks

Greetings everyone!

As of now we are officially a couple of days into entering the 'in talks' stages of development for "King and Cucamonga" and "The Intertwined" -- which I would like to coin "the annoying stage of production" (just kidding). Right now the essential objective is to start securing attachments for the projects on the table and appeal to the potential investors. However, with the economy on the fritz it has been hard trying to convince private investors to come out of pocket, when they don't even know the state of their own financial affairs. *sighs*

Development Steady

Greetings All!

The development process for The Intertwined & King and Cucamonga has been slow and steady, but good nonetheless. Thus far, we have finished up the first versions of the budgets for both projects and have been getting all the paperwork out of the way to make things happen. Other then the slew of Letters of Intents that still need to be sign, the process has moved forward at a very positive pace and I can only hope that things stay that way.

So far the budget for The Intertwined is set at 4 million dollars and King and Cucamonga is 2.5. Of course these numbers are subject to change pending attachments that may inflate the bottom line.
